Fort Tamentfoust

Fort Tamentfoust is a strong Ottoman construction dating back to the time of the Regency of Algiers.

The fort was built in 1661 by Ramdhan Agha under the reign of Ismail Pasha and underwent refitting in the time of Mezzo Morto following the bombing of Duquesne 1682 and 1683. Most of the materials used were extracted from the remains Of the ancient city.

Bordj de Tamentfoust

Le Bordj Tamentfoust est un fort Ottoman qui date de l'époque de la Regence d'Alger.

Le fort a été construit en 1661 par Ramdhan Agha sous le règne d'Ismaïl Pacha et a subi des réaménagement à l'époque de Mezzo Morto à la suite des bombardements de Duquesne 1682 et 1683. La plupart des matériaux utilisés ont été extraits des vestiges de la ville antique.

Algiers road floods

A day of rain was enough, Wednesday evening, to paralyze the traffic on the main roads of the capital.
